Recognize the key.

It took me a long time to realize that the key to solving my external problems, in my everyday life, can only be found within myself. It doesn't matter what kind of problem, or rather what kind of challenge, stands in my way; it always has to do with me, with the person themselves. The problems in my everyday life began to change for the better when I focused on the path within myself. The more I understood how my inner life is structured, how it functions, the better I can deal with my everyday life. I have now experienced an indescribable calm and serenity, a wonderful feeling of security and ease. My quality of life has improved enormously.

So, as long as the cause, the shadow, remains buried within, the problem remains external. The cause was born sometime in the past and, over time, has grown into a significant problem. Find the cause within yourself and accept it as a part of you, as a part of your life. It wants to belong and not be despised.

It's like with children.

If a child receives little or no attention, let alone love, they will come up with a variety of ways to get the attention – love – they desire. Whatever that may look like... wetting the bed, getting bad grades at school, vehemently resisting school, constantly running away from home, not speaking anymore ... There are certainly more examples, but I think this clearly shows what accepting the cause means. As soon as the child receives the attention they desire, the love they so desperately need, their behavior will change significantly!
