The shadow within us

By recognizing, accepting and integrating our shadow side, our negative side, we experience growth.

It's a difficult, but definitely rewarding, path to discovering your dark side within, confronting it, and working through it. These shadows are nothing more than repressed aspects of your personality that are associated with fear and unpleasant feelings. Therefore, they are banished to the deep abyss of oblivion. They are responsible for the underlying cause of illness, your own self-destructive addictive behavior, and all the unpleasant things in your everyday life.

The Secret of the Shadow.

If you recognize that your own shadow is blocking your life force, then inner and outer healing can occur. Once this is resolved, new energy can flow again. The secret, then, is to become aware of the repressed parts of your personality! These lost parts want nothing more than to return to wholeness. The more you seek the light, the darker the shadow becomes.

“I realized that I had been standing in my own way in my life so far!”

You want to be successful, no matter what the cost.

To become a highly successful person, you need to muster indescribable strength again and again. This is demonstrated by the fact that new, unpleasant problems constantly arise. Your concentration, your thoughts, and your energy are solely focused on being successful, on standing in the light, on being on the sunny side of life. If you don't create a balance, a crash is inevitable. Your body is signaling this to you; if you don't acknowledge it, you'll soon have a serious health challenge on your hands! The dark side of your personality is making itself known very intensively, demanding to be seen and accepted at last. If you recognize these signals from life, from your life, then you are on the right path and you will experience a previously unknown and indescribable success and with it the lightness of life.

All aspects that make up a personality.

To lead a holistic life, it is extremely important to first perceive all the aspects that make up your personality and then to merge them into a greater whole. Whether "positive parts" or "negative parts," they belong together, like identical twins! People create their own shadows through the feelings and thoughts they interpret into a situation. That can't end well. I told you right away that they were no good. They immediately gave me a bad feeling. These are all simply thoughts, but when they are constantly repeated and charged with intense feelings, that is when it becomes extremely dangerous.

We are simply afraid of ourselves.

Humans, the unknown beings. That's why we're afraid of ourselves, because we don't really know ourselves. It "could be dangerous" to really get to know myself better, I might bite myself! But joking aside, our minds want us to believe that something terrible is slumbering deep within us if we look closely. We're afraid of looking closely, of discovering something we might not be able to live with. We're afraid of every thought and feeling we've repressed over time. We project this very fear into the world. But it comes back to us again and again, until we fully recognize and accept it, our fear.

Accept lovingly.

We can lovingly accept the things we fear most, instead of trying to suppress the shadow. It's not about judging the shadow, it's about simply accepting this shadow, embracing it as it is. Without any ifs or buts, it just wants to be part of the whole, part of the personality, part of the human system. Recognize that a certain trait, even if you don't like it, belongs to you, it is a part of you. Recognize that the suppressed feelings want to be acknowledged and integrated. Embrace your shadow, and the fear within you will lose its power. Recognize the gifts of your shadow, and you can live in the fullness of your true self.

Recognize that all the people you meet and interact with are a mirror for you. If someone embodies a characteristic that you have trouble with, you can seek out and accept that characteristic within yourself. It wants to be with you, and it is a part of you.

Buddha says:

“We are what we think. Everything we are arises from our thoughts. With our thoughts we shape the world.”
